We have a hope! Evil of this world has no more power over us, – Head of UGCC congratulated Roman Catholics on Easter

On Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Kyiv Father and Head of UGCC His Beatitude Sviatoslav took part in the Paschal service at St. Aleksander Cathedral of Roman Catholic rite. On behalf of the whole Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church he congratulated Roman Catholics on Easter Day.

“You know it, if there is a way out of a tomb which is closed with a stone and guarded by soldiers – we have a hope. And our hope lies on our resurrected Saviour. He is our hope, what is as much realistic as the fact that sun rises after dark…

Christ is risen! He is our sun, Who gives us light of life”, mentioned a spiritual leader of Greek Catholics.

On he added: “Who believes in the resurrected Christ will not die. Jesus says: “The one who believes in me will live forever”. Today you have become the members of the resurrected Body of Jesus, what is Church. That Body of our Saviour we have consumed in the Holy Communion today. Thus, we have a hope! Evil of this world, even death has no more power over us. Because Christ is risen and it will last forever!”

At the end His Beatitude Svitoslav wished everybody God’s blessing, grace of the Holy Spirit and joy which defeats everything!
